How many staff do I need?
Staffing recommendations vary based on the service style:
Plated Service: 1 server for every 20-25 guests.
Buffet or Family-Style Service: 1 server for every 30 guests.
Beer and Wine Service: 1 bartender for every 50 guests.
Cocktail Service: 1 bartender for every 30 guests.
We can help you determine the exact number of staff based on your event size and specific needs.
What is the minimum number of hours required for staffing?
We have a minimum staffing requirement of 5 hours, as staff generally do not accept shifts under this duration. Billing reflects this minimum.
What happens if the event goes longer than expected?
If staff are available, they can stay longer. We will send you an invoice for the additional hours on the night of the event.
Can staff assist with setup and breakdown?
Yes, our staff can assist with both setup and breakdown.
What kind of training do your staff undergo before they are sent to events?
All our staff have at least one year of prior experience before being assigned to events.
Are your staff experienced with high-profile or VIP events?
Yes, our staff are experienced with high-profile events. We can also arrange for staff to sign NDAs if required.
Can staff wear specific uniforms or costumes?
Our standard uniform is black slacks/trousers, a black shirt, and black shoes. However, we can accommodate alternative uniform requests.
What is a team lead?
A team lead serves as the main point of contact between you and the staff. We recommend assigning a team lead when booking four or more staff members. Without a team lead, you will be responsible for managing the staff.
What is your policy on staff gratuities?
Gratuities are optional. You can choose to pay them through us prior to the event or directly to the staff on the day.
What is the process to book?
Upon booking, we will send you an invoice along with an event brief template to complete. A 50% deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due one month prior to the event.
Do we get information about the staff beforehand?
We can provide staff names and bios one week before the event, though these may be subject to change.
Are the staff members background checked?
All staff are required to disclose any criminal convictions when applying. We can arrange more comprehensive background checks upon request, with an additional charge depending on the level of detail required.
Can I arrange a call with the staff beforehand?
If you wish to brief your team in advance, we can arrange a call at an additional cost. Rest assured, our staff are thoroughly prepared for the event.
Bartending Services
Do the bartenders have experience with craft cocktails or specialty drinks?
Yes, our bartenders are skilled in crafting specialty drinks. We recommend selecting 3-5 signature cocktails.
What do the bartenders bring with them?
Our bartenders come equipped with bottle openers, shakers, and strainers.
Can you supply a bar?
Yes, we can supply a full bar rental. Additional costs will apply.
Can you help me with a shopping list?
Yes, we can assist in preparing a shopping list tailored to your event’s needs.
Do you supply garnishes/cups?
Yes, we can provide garnishes and cups. Prices start at $15 per guest, with a minimum of 20 guests.

Yes, as part of RubyLemon’s terms, clients are required to provide parking for all staff members at the event location. If parking is not available, you must reimburse any parking costs incurred by the staf
