EVER WONDERED HOW TO GET ON BRITAINS GOT TALENT!
We did too so we asked our dear friend Orissa Kelly what it takes to get there. She started out as a gymnast doing aerial stunts and stilt walking at a young age. Orissa traveled to well over 40 different countries to perform during primary and secondary school. It was written in the stars for her to create her own unique performance.
HOW DID YOU START FOOT ARCHERY AS AN ACT?
When asked about how she started out she told us, “ It was after a heartbreak when I opened up a lot of free time in my schedule to explore something new. I saw a young girl using a toy bow and arrow with her feet and thought that it would be interesting to try as an act. I went down to the old cricket field to practice my new hobby”. A lot of time and dedication was spent at the old cricket field down the road from her home . She practiced her craft for 6 hours a day everyday for 6 months.Kelly always uses a wooden heart as a target to remember when she started with a broken heart. Mind you she’s never taken an archery lesson in her life !
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE NOTABLE PERFORMANCES?
When asked about her most notable performances she told us about the private event she did for the Queen that she brought her mum to. That was a monumental moment in Orissa’s career that she would love to do again.
Kelly told us about her stunts in Wonder Women when she made it to the big pictures. Another accomplishment in her career that shows off her true talent. Orissa loved our very own gender reveal party where her arrow popped the balloon that revealed the gender of the baby! “I felt like my arrow was a major deciding factor in the gender of their baby and I’d love to be apart of more of those experiences.”
Orissa also appeared on Snoop Dogg’s “Go Big” show during quarantine to add to her impressive portfolio of work.
